![]() ![]() You can only carry one of these at any given time and their ammo runs out fast, same with grenades. One terrible offender to the shooting is that you only have your default pistol & your grenades as mainstays and a 3rd 'slot' is dedicated to letting you carry an additional firearm, being a shotgun, sniper rifle, assault rifle and a homing rocket launcher. ![]() The shooting in itself could've benefited from an auto lock on of sorts since moving the right stick felt rather slow when it came to aiming with a controller, though maybe it feels better with mouse and keyboard? The game's combat can be divided into 2 or 3 elements: Melee, Shooting and using your Bionic Arm. Now I generally don't mind if a game puts more into the actual gameplay than its other parts, and despite the game being repetitive, I still found enjoyment form it. Throughout the 2nd half or 2/3s of the game you'll get about half a dozen or so cutscenes but the game in general could've done without them. There's barely any cutscenes in between and the only characters you mainly see are Spencer and the enemy soldiers and any of their mechs. The game in general feels pretty odd much of the first 1/3 of the game, if not the first 1/2 is mostly you going from area to area battling enemies and swinging around while Steve Blum and some lameass old fart are yelling in your ear. The game was among Capcom's push towards getting some of their titles made by western studios. Now Bionic Commando was among the last games they developed and was released in 2009. One thing that I'll say about them is that they had a pretty dull logo, being a creepy mouth smiling/grinning, dunno how they thought that'd fly but at least they stuck with it, so I'll give them credit for that at least I may consider playing their older titles someday. ![]() GRIN worked on the following titles- Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 and 2, Wanted Weapons of Fate and the 2009 action game Terminator Salvation. I recently beat the 2009 3D Action game, Bionic Commando, which was developed by the now defunct Swedish developer, GRIN. I hadn't done long writings like this in a VERY long time, but hopefully I can get what I wanted to impart through. I apologize if much of what I've written is all over the place, I just wrote what came to mind and just committed to it. ![]()
